Northwest Renewables is the Inland Northwest’s first full-service solar installation company, launched in 2016 by two longtime Spokane business owners: builder Gavin Tenold of Pura Vida High Performance Builders and electrician Harlan Heise of Heise Electric.
Gavin and Harlan had ample experience in sustainable construction and electrical systems, having partnered on energy-efficient, solar equipped projects. They opened Northwest Renewables as the plummeting cost of solar presented an opportunity to do well by doing good in their hometown.
At Northwest Renewables we handle solar system design and construction from end to end, combining best practices from leading-edge building science with those of expert solar electricians. Count on us for detailed estimating and energy modeling, skilled installation, and knowledgeable integration of solar power with energy-efficient construction.
No other company in the region offers an easier, more complete way to go solar.
Owner & Electrictian
Certified NABCEP Technician
A second-generation master electrician, Harlan’s career began at the Northwest’s leading sources of renewable power: the hydroelectric dams of the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Returning home to Spokane, he partnered in his father’s commercial electrical contracting business, Heise Electric, transforming it into a leader in solar installations. Harlan helped start Northwest Renewables to create a company dedicated entirely to work in this burgeoning field.
